The WhatFilm Festival
We manage the Facebook & Instagram channels of Film Festival, as well as the website, which we had developed since it's inception 6 years ago.
The Objective
Our main objective was to bring awareness to Film Festival, generate leads for film submission, voting, and workshop attendance.
The Solution
Through our strategy, we were able to tap into the niche
community of independent filmmakers on social media, and generate followers. We
also successfully generated leads for film submissions for the festival, and
leads for voting for the best films.
Film Festival also conducts workshops, which we generated
leads for. Participants were able to attend online and have their questions
answered.With half the budget for ads in 2020 compared to 2019, we
succeeded in reaching a higher number of registrations than past years.
With Covid-19 precautions in place in 2020, we held the festival
screenings online rather than at the festival event. To do so, we had to update
the website for that viewing capacity and to accommodate online voting. This
helped us reach a viewing audience outside of Cairo as well, and viewership and
voting participation were at an all-time high.
